A Macnificent Anniversary

Afishionados,

The first Mac

The Mac turns 25 today. And what better way to celebrate than to elect a Mac user to the White House?

The first black president

Woo hoo!

Our first president who is black

Found the White House’s tech to be whack

Unlike John McCain

Who finds gadgets a pain

Obama’s a user of Mac!

  1. Said Atlas, “Its time to come clean,

And rveal a Mac usrs routine:

    I wake up at eight,

    And start to relate,

    Unnaturally wif my machine.”

  2. AngryMan says:

Did you hear about how they had a hard time hooking up their Macs to the White House’s system?

    Um, total shock . . .

  3. Mike says:

I used a Mac back in the late 80′s when I was writing a lot of process instruction manuals. I loved it. Not at all sure why I got away from them.

  4. Atlas Cerise says:

    All of this porno
    Is formatted for Windows
    Why no QuickTime love?

  5. Atlas Cerise says:

Yes, which is what inspired this post. Once you go Black and Mac…

  6. Atlas Cerise says:

These kids today don’t know how good they have it, what with their broadband Internet and their millions of colors displays! Why, in my day we had a 10 inch monochrome screen and a floppy drive! And we liked it, too!

  7. Yeah …

Back in th days when a ten-inchr was sufficient …

  8. Check out this screen display,

    Wif nudie thumbnails dappld!

Oh! I coud spend th live-long day,

    A-polishin my Apple!

  9. Atlas Cerise says:

You will never get there, sorry.

  10. Whaddya mean, “GET there?”

Im th reasn why fokes aint satisfyd wif 10″ no more!

  11. Atlas Cerise says:

Joey: Yea, I know. It’s time you spit the extra inches outta your mouth, fruitski.

  12. anaglyph says:

Sadly, he hasn’t been converted to iPhone yet…

  13. anaglyph says:

They probably only had difficulty because the White House IT people are clueless and/or obstructive. It took me about ten seconds to get a Mac hooked into the system at Violet Towne’s school after the IT department told me ‘it couldn’t be done’. Turns out that what they really should have been saying was “we actually don’t know how to do it”.

  14. anaglyph says:

Oh, and “we don’t want to know how to do it, either”.

  15. Atlas Cerise says:

I don’t expect he ever will be. Apple is far too paranoid to let anyone have ‘real’ access to the insides of the iPhone for Apps and stuff. The government can’t install their proprietary stuff on it as easily. All the more reason to jailbreak it, I say.
