(And I speak for myself, not the Navy.) If one does not question the ethics involved, then what separates someone from the "terrorists"? If there was a point to the war in Iraq, there wouldn't necessarily be a "problem" in the first place. But Iraq isn't a threat (Where are the WMDs?) yet we're over there for what? Why should my brother risk his life for a third time for nothing? Yes, he's in the Marines, and it's his "job" to serve. But if I was going to put my ass on the line (literally in the field) I would want some justification and reasoning for my death (in the event that it occurs) rather than end up as another forgotten victim of an already high body count.
